My husband and I moved to Pompton Lakes in 1995, both of our boys enjoyed their years at Lenox Elementary, and I am excited to be teaching the remote third grade class of students from both Lincoln & Lenox for the 2020 - 2021 school year.
As a teacher, I believe the opportunity to teach is a privilege and this year I feel this even more. The magic of a classroom does not come from the things in a specific room or building. The magic happens when people come together to learn and challenge themselves to grow. That magic will happen with our class this year, even if we are all in different locations.
I received my bachelor's degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey and my post-baccalaureate certification in special education from William Paterson University. I am certified to teach elementary education, English & Language Arts (grades 6-8), and special education. This past December I achieved a longtime goal: National Board Teacher Certification. The journey to that goal changed my approach to teaching and my own professional growth.
In my free time, I enjoy long bicycle rides, spending time with my family & friends, solving my Sunday crossword puzzles, challenging myself with a good jigsaw puzzle, and reading.
